Carren started with O’Connor Sales & Realty, Inc. (Now O'Connor Realty Group Keller Williams) in 1992. Throughout her 30 years with the company, she has been a real estate agent, broker’s assistant, listing coordinator, auction coordinator, and advertising coordinator. She still holds her real estate license.

Carren has lived in Clintonville since she was a teenager. She has an Associate’s Degree in Microcomputer Systems Technology.
